Google Play Will Be More Popular by October 2013
Yes, it’s happening as we expected: the Android app platform Google Play is set to record more downloads than the erstwhile title-holder, the Apple App Store.
Look at these stats: At the present time, the total number of Apple app downloads is more than the Google Play downloads:
HOWEVER, people are downloading apps from Google Play at the rate of 2.5 billion apps a month, compared to 2 billion a month from the Apple App Store:
At this rate, people would have downloaded more apps from Google play by October 2013.
The primary reason for this is that there are far more Android phones out there than iPhones, and the reason for that is Samsung progressively putting one of their phones in the pocket of every individual on the planet (in India, for instance, Samsung offers incredible payment terms for its high-end Note and Grand models: six interest-free installments plus 15% off if you buy with specified credit cards).
